El objetivo de este trabajo es explorar cómo actúa el alcance en portuñol cuando estamos frente a un nominal escueto. Específicamente, el portuñol hablado en la frontera de Rivera (Uruguay) con Santana do Livramento (Brasil). Para hacer esta primera descripción, fue utilizada una metodología de semántica de campo. El trabajo se basó en crear un cuestionario con contextos e imágenes que nos permitieron aproximarnos al estudio de la (in)definitud en portuñol. La ambigüedad de alcance es tan solo uno de los fenómenos relacionados con la (in)definitud que estudiamos, pero resulta esencial para comenzar a entender si el portuñol es un dialecto del portugués, una lengua mixta, o una lengua independiente del portugués y del español desde la semántica.
The aim of this work is to explore how scope acts in Portuñol when faced with bare nouns. Specifically, in the Portuñol spoken on the border between Rivera (Uruguay) and Santana do Livramento (Brazil). To carry out this initial description, a field semantics methodology was used. The work was based on creating a questionnaire with contexts and images that allowed us to approach the study of (in)definiteness in Portuñol. Scope ambiguity is just one of the phenomena related to (in)definiteness that we studied, but it is essential to begin to understand whether Portuñol is a dialect of Portuguese, a mixed language, or a semantically independent language from Portuguese and Spanish.
