In this autoethnographic essay, I seek to show how bureaucratic-productivist pressures are detrimental to the physical and emotional well-being of those of us who inhabit academia. In response, I argue that care, as a relational and collective practice, can serve as a form of resistance and support against the neoliberal assault on academic institutions.
