Un yacimiento formativo ritual en el entorno de la antigua laguna de La Herrera, Madrid, Cundinamarca

En el lote ubicado en la Cra. 5 Nº 2-41 de Madrid, Cundinamarca, se rescató un yacimiento arqueológico consistente en un montículo funerario y un conjunto ceremonial. El primero consistía en un enterramiento colectivo de 11 individuos dispersos exceptuando el Nº 11 que se encontraba en posición de decúbito lateral derecho con la cabeza hacia el este; padecía de treponematosis y su fecha es de 150±50 a.C. El ajuar consistía en fragmentos cerámicos del período Herrera y restos de animales. La dolicocefalia, el grado de robustez y el desgaste dental los aproxima a los grupos precerámicos (Tequendama, Sueva, Checua, Chía) y plantadores tempranos (Aguazuque) de la Sabana de Bogotá. El conjunto ceremonial consistía en un canal y estructuras piramidales al oeste y cónicas al este orientadas entre 22- 25º NW, con tres entierros individuales (uno de ellos con deformación cefálica), un pie humano articulado sobre un metate y una posible planta de vivienda de tipo palafítico sobre el borde de la antigua laguna; aquí se localizó cerámica de tipo Herrera y cuernos de bóvidos como ofrenda, señalando la importancia del sitio hasta la época colonial. In the lot located at the Cra. 5 Nº 2-41 of Madrid, Cundinamarca an archaeological site was rescued, consisting in a funerary mound and a ceremonial complex. The fi rst one consisted in a collective burial of 11 spread individuals, excepting #11 that was found in lateral right position with its head looking towards the east; it suffered of Treponemathosis and it has a date of 150±20 b.C. The funerary offerings consisted in ceramic fragments of the Herrera period and animal parts. The dolichocephaly, the sturdiness degree and the dental attrition approaches us to the preceramic groups (Tequendama, Sueva, Checua, Chía) and early planters (Aguazuque) of the Bogotá savannah. The ceremonial complex consisted of a channel and pyramidal structures to the west and conical to the east heading between 22-25° NW, with three individual burials (one of them with cephalic deformation), a human foot articulated over a metate and a possible dwelling base of palaphytic type over the borders of the ancient lagoon. In here, Herrera type ceramic and bovid horns as presents, marking the site importance until the colonial era.
