Acerca del concepto de estructura profunda sintáctica

El concepto de estructura profunda sintáctica y conceptos relacionados deben formar parte de la teoría lingüística general por las mismas razones que justifican los conceptos de morfema y fonema. La argumentación clásica en favor del mencionado concepto no es suficientemente convincente y da pábulo al surgimiento de modelos teóricos que lo niegan. Hacen falta argumentos en su favor cuya refutación sea más difícil o implique coherentemente el abandono de la práctica teórica en

lingüística realizada hasta el presente.
