Reconsiderando a Friedman, Richardson y lo a priori constitutivo

Las interpretaciones contemporáneas en torno a lo a priori en la filosofía de la ciencia han estado dominadas fundamentalmente por las concepciones semántica y pragmática. El aporte de estas concepciones ha sido significativo, pero han rechazado injustificadamente, a mi modo de ver, el sentido fundamental de la noción kantiana original, a saber, la idea de constitución de la experiencia. En este artículo me propongo hacer esencialmente dos cosas: en primer lugar, después de una exposición de la discusión entre Friedman y Richardson, representantes de las concepciones semántica y pragmática, mostrar las razones históricas que tenemos para rechazar el punto de vista semántico en torno a lo a priori. En segundo lugar, esbozaré una concepción de lo a priori constitutivo que, volviendo sobre la pista de algunas propuestas de filósofos del siglo XIX, insiste sobre la idea de que la experiencia se encuentra dominada por una función formal que consiste en la producción de invariantes.
