Aspectos geoquímicos de meteorización de sulfuros

La naturaleza de los productos de oxidación de sulfuros y su comportamiento general en la zona de meteorización, son deducidos en base a varios diagramas de estabilidad, que se acercan bastante a la conducta observada en la naturaleza (Figura 1). Sin embargo, datos termoquímicos de numerosas fases están aún en investigación. En general estos estudios muestran el límite entre oxidación y estabilidad de sulfuros y clasifican algunas relaciones individuales entre minerales oxidados estables que coexisten con los sulfuros.
