Un caballo se inmunizó con linfocitos procedentes de nodulos linfáticos y su suero se adsorbió tres veces con glóbulos rojos caninos. El experimento se dividió en dos grupos: al primero se le aplicó SAL por vía venosa y se valoró la velocidad de acción
del antisuero mediante recuentos hematológicos practicados a diferentes tiempos dentro de las 24 horas posteriores a la inyección. Sirvió además para establecer una dosis aproximada por kilogramo de peso. El segundo grupo se utilizó para valorar
la acción del SAL en trasplantes de piel, riñón y miembro posterior. Para su efecto se usó el SAL por vía venosa, preparando el animal previamente al trasplante, después diariamente, para luego espaciar las inyecciones cada tercer día. Se valoró asimismo la acción del SALAzatioprina en trasplantes renales.
A horse was immunized by lymphocytes from lymphatic nodes, and its serum was adsorbed three times of red blood corpuscles from dogs. The experiment was divided in two groups: to the first group the antilymphocytic serum (SAL) was applied venously, and the velocity of the action of the antiserum was determined through hematologic tests at various times during the first 24 hours after the injections. Furthermore, it served to determínate an approximate dose per kilo weight. The second group was used to determínate the action of the antiserum in transplantations of skin, kidneys, and hind legs. To this effect, the antiserum was used venously, beíng prepared previously the animal, and spacing the injections first daily and later all three days. Also, the action of the antiserum with azatioprin was determinated for kidney transplantations.
