Implementation of a power electronics workstation for power quality studies

This paper discusses an implementation of a power electronics workstation to be used in power quality studies. Two techniques of rapid control prototypes and hybrid simulations are applied to power electronic devices like active power filters, power switched sources and adjusted speed drivers for testing power theories like PQ theory and generalized power tensor theory. A summary description of the workstation modules and the original contributions in power quality analysis are also presented.
