Energy efficiency is considered an effective alternative and rapid implementation that allows to reduce energy consumption, while maintaining an equivalent level of production, ie without altering economic activity. One way to implement energy efficiency in an industry is through the installation of unconventional energy sources. This article determines the importance of the location of new generation sources in the electrical installations of an industry, through the improvement of energy performance in the industrial sector. The improvement in performance represents an economic saving for the users, contributes to the sustainability of the country's energy matrix and contributes to the global conservation of the environment. Therefore, it is concluded that it is not enough only to install renewable generation sources, but it is important to determine a suitable location where the greatest technical benefits for the user are achieved.
