Se señalan aspectos de la tolerancia de las plantas superiores a los ambientes salinos y a las zonas áridas. La tolerancia a la sal y a la aridez se basa principalmente en la absorción selectiva de iones, la osmorregulacion, la compartirnentación celular y la síntesis de osmolitos.
Some aspects of the tolerance of higher plants to salt environments and dry zones are pointed out. Salt and drought tolerance arc mostly based on selective ion absorption, osmoregulation, cell compartmentation and synthesis of osmotic compounds.
