Justice, constitutionalism, and illegality in Análisis Político: the IEPRI’s contributions to the legal-political debate over its 40-year history

Este artículo identifica la línea editorial de Análisis Político en materia de justicia y examina el aporte del Instituto de Estudios Políticos y Relaciones Internacionales (IEPRI) al debate jurídico-político colombiano en sus 40 años. Se analizan los 111 números de la revista y se contrastan con la sección política de El Espectador y Voz mediante una taxonomía de 7 macrocategorías y 65 subcategorías relacionadas estadísticamente y sustentadas cualitativamente. Los resultados muestran tres perfiles diferenciados: Análisis Político es un polo judicial y transicional, El Espectador un polo constitucional y generalista, y Voz una posición intermedia sociojurídica. El principal hallazgo es que la relación entre academia y prensa no adopta una forma binaria, sino una estructura relacional en la que el IEPRI ocupa una posición singular y especializada en la circulación de conocimiento en política.
This article identifies the editorial line of Análisis Político on justice-related issues and, from that standpoint, examines one of IEPRI’s contributions to Colombia’s juridical-political debate over its 40 years. To do so, it analyzes the journal’s 111 issues and contrasts them with the political sections of El Espectador and Voz through a taxonomy of 7 macro-categories and 65 subcategories, statistically related and qualitatively grounded. The results reveal three differentiated profiles: Análisis Político as a judicial and transitional pole, El Espectador as a constitutional and generalist pole, and Voz as an intermediate socio-legal position.
The main finding is that the relationship between academia and the press does not take a binary form, but rather a relational structure in which IEPRI occupies a singular and specialized position in the circulation of political knowledge.
