The efficacy of participation in social organizations of victims: perception of leaders in the department of Atlántico

Se indagó por sentidos de eficacia que líderes de la mesa departamental de victimas del Atlántico, otorgan a su participación en organizaciones sociales en un escenario que supone elevados riesgos. Los datos fueron analizados con el software Atlas.ti.; teniendo como referentes teóricos los marcos para la acción colectiva, la acción racional, y planteamientos actuales sobre procesos morales y emocionales vinculados a la protesta social. Los resultados exponen que dadas las circunstancias amenazantes que rodean los casos estudiados, se requiere profundizar en variables de orden moral y emocional, que pueden alterar modelos teóricos aplicados en otras regiones donde participar no supone jugarse la vida.

The research inquired the sense of efficacy that victims' leaders, grant to their participation in social organizations in a setting that involves high risks. Data were analyzed with the software Atlas.ti; having as theoretical reference frameworks for collective action, rational action, and current approaches to moral and emotional processes related to social protest. The results argue that given the threatening circumstances surrounding the cases studied, it requires deeper moral and emotional variables, which may alter theoretical models applied in other regions where participation does not involve risking their lives.
