COLONIALIDAD DEL SABER Y CIENCIAS SOCIALES: UNA METODOLOGÍA PARA APREHENDER LOS IMAGINARIOS COLONIZADOS

COLONIALITY OF KNOWLEDGE AND SOCIAL SCIENCES: A METODOLOGY TO APREHEND THE COLONIZED IMAGINARIES

El propósito de este artículo es, antes que nada, la construcción de una herramienta metodológica que logre aprehender de los artículos o producciones escritas de las ciencias sociales la colonialidad del saber presente en muchas de ellas. Específicamente, este artículo examina la reproducción de saberes coloniales en la teoría política distribuida por las principales revistas académicas de la Ciencia Política en Colombia. El método utilizado para lograr develar tales saberes colonizados es, en primer lugar, el reconocimiento del tipo de teoría política que está siendo analizada, y en segundo lugar, el análisis de esos textos desde los conceptos de modernidad alteridad y el pensamiento posabismal. La información de tal ejercicio aparece sintetizada en tablas que exponen la reproducción de los saberes modernos/coloniales en los artículos examinados. El resultado que presenta este artículo es que, en efecto, la teoría política en Colombia se encuentra cooptada por la colonialidad del saber, invitando así a realizar un examen crítico del tipo de ciencia social que quiere producirse.

The purpose of this article is, first of all, building a methodological tool that achieves grasp of articles or written productions of the social sciences the coloniality of knowledge present in many of them. Specifically, this article examines the reproduction of colonial knowledge in political theory distributed by the leading academic journals in political science in Colombia. The method used to achieve colonized unveil such knowledge is, first, recognition of the type of political theory being tested, and secondly, the analysis of these texts from modern concepts of otherness and posabismal thought. The information in this exercise appears summarized in tables showing the reproduction of the modern / colonial knowledge in the articles discussed. The results presented in this paper is that, indeed, political theory in Colombia is co-opted by the coloniality of knowledge, thus inviting a critical review of the kind of social science that wants to occur.
