Los ideales de la filosofía

¿Es todavía válido o posible hacer filosofía? Ciertamente, no será “la” filosofía. Sólo la metafísica posee la aspiración de llegar a “la” verdad. Por el contrario, puede ser una filosofía basada en hipótesis. Hipótesis que, como mostró Hegel, tengan una validación histórica y social. El retorno a la Tierra significa la superación de la metafísica. Puede bien denominarse un nuevo humanismo. Pero, en contraste con el humanismo anterior, este nuevo concibe lo humano dentro de sus condiciones terrenales. Este nuevo humanismo no tiene fácil su futuro. No es necesariamente optimista. La especie human puede llegar a suicidarse y, en ese proceso, arrastrar toda la vida, esa es la verdadera tragedia sobre la cual la filosofía debería de concentrarse. No es la metafísica la clase de pensar significativo que fortifique la construcción de una sociedad capaz de satisfacer ese reto.

It is still possible or valid to make philosophy? Certainly, it would not be “the” philosophy. Only metaphysics has the aspiration of arriving to “the” truth. Rather, it may be a philosophy based on hypothesis. Hypothesis that, like Hegel showed, have a historical and social validity. Returning to Earth means the superation of metaphysics. It may well be called a new humanism. But, unlike the previous humanism, this new one conceives humans in its earthly conditions. This new humanism does not have easy its future. It is not necessarily optimistic. Human specie may very well suicide and, in that process, it shall take with it life itself. That is the real tragedy about witch philosophy should concentrate. It is not metaphysics the kind of meaningful thought that fortifies the construction of a civilization able to satisfy such task.
