Este equipo ha sido automatizado, utilizando la intensidad luminosa de la descarga como señal para controlar el movimiento de aproximación entre los electrodos. Se presenta el método de purificación de estos fullerenos y la identificación utilizando cromatografía líquida de alta eficiencia (HPCL) y absorción ultravioleta.
We present a system for the production of fullerenes (C-GO. C-70, etc.) using an electric discharge between two graphite electrodes in an Helium atmosphere. In this apparatus the approach between both electrodes has been automatized and is controlled by monitoring the brightness of the electric discharge. Furthermore, is discussed the techniques of purification of these fullerenes as well as their identification by means of high performance liquid chromatography (HPCL) and UV-absortion.
