Nada ¡lustra mejor la consecuencia paralizante de la alienación en el orden imaginario que la neurosis obsesiva. La duda y la procrastinación son la expresión manifiesta de la paradoja de que, si la existencia es la negación del ser puro, entonces la vida impura no puede ser sino la larga espera del acceso al ser...en la muerte. El "sofisma del tiempo lógico” de Lacan postula el acto como fundador del sujeto: tres modos temporales actúan sucesivamente sobre tres sujetos y precipitan el momento de la aserción del sujeto... de los tres simultáneamente. Pero el obsesivo es el tercero que se excluye a sí mismo; fracasa en su acto porque deja escapar el momento de concluir. Por eso nunca podrá saber si es de este mundo o del otro.
Nothing better than obsessive-compulsive neurosis illustrates the paralyzing consequences of alienation in the imaginary order. Doubt and procrastination are the manifest expression of the paradox that if existence is the negation of pure being, then impure life can only be the long wait for access to being...in death. Lacan’s "sophism of logical time" poses the act as the founder of the subject: three modes of time act successively on three subjects and precipitate the moment of assertion of the subject... of the three of them simultaneously. But the obsessive-compulsive is the odd man out; he fails his act because he misses the moment to conclude. For this reason he will never know if he belongs to this world or to the other one.
