The Maladaptive Self-Referent Schema Question-naire (CAD-FS) for Social Phobia was designed and validated in order to evaluate the dysfunctional cognitive contents of these disorders. Three expert evaluators validated the content. In a sample of 1,413 participants with an average age of 26.41 (SD=8.51), the internal consistency was α=.86, with an adequate criterion validity in the Fear of Negative Evaluation scale (r=656, p<.01). In turn, this was adjusted to the parameters of Masters' partial credit model, depending on the analysis of item response theory. This instrument is recommended for the evaluation of social phobia during cognitive behavioral treatment.
