Amazonian fruits are recognized as promising sources of bioactive compounds with functional, nutritional, and technological potential. This study aimed to conduct a systematic literature review and scientific mapping of research on Amazonian fruits, using the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) methodology and the Tree of Science approach to characterize the scientific evolution, knowledge structure, and research network in this field. A total of 318 documents were selected from the Scopus database, including research articles, books, book chapters, review papers, and conference proceedings, covering the period from 2005 to August 4, 2025. Bibliometric and network analyses were performed to identify scientific production, collaboration patterns, knowledge structure, and thematic trends. The analyzed literature was classified into three main categories: foundational/original studies, structural analyses, and emerging research trends. Brazil was the country with the highest scientific production, while Chisté, R.C. was the most prolific author. The analysis of the research network and thematic clusters identified three major areas: functional foods, bioeconomy, and sustainability. These areas encompass research on the functional and biological properties of Amazonian fruits, the valorization of bioactive compounds and biodiversity, and the sustainable use of Amazonian fruit resources. Overall, the findings provide an integrated overview of the scientific evolution of research on Amazonian fruits and highlight emerging opportunities for research and technological development based on their high-value bioactive compounds and antioxidant potential.
