Complicaciones tardías en siete gastrectomizados

Se describen siete pacientes con complicaciones debidas a gastrectomía, practicada varios años antes. Sus principales síntomas fueron: pérdida de peso en seis, diarrea y anemia en cinco, síndrome de asa aferente y síndrome de dumping combinados, en cinco. Algunos de los pacientes desarrollaron moderados trastornos de la absorción intestinal tales como esteatorrea en tres, excreción anormal de la d-xilosa en uno y atrofia significativa de la mucosa intestinal en dos. En tres se encontró T.B.C. pulmonar.
Seven patients with complications due to gastrectomy performed several years back are described. Their main symptons were: weight loss in 6, diarrhea in 5, anemia in 5, blind loop syndrome in 5 and dumping syndrome in 5. Some of the patients developed mild absorption disturbances such us steatorrhea in 3, abnormal d-xylosa excretion in 1 and significant atrophy of the intestinal mucosa in 2. In three patients we found pulmonar T.B.C
