Homenaje a la memoria de un mártir de la ciencia

El 8 de enero, primer aniversario del doloroso fallecimiento de Héctor Calderón Cuervo técnico de laboratorio muerto al servicio del estado por fiebre petequial contraída en la Sección de Estudios Especiales, como preparador de la vacuna contra la Fiebre Amarilla, se descubrió una placa en el laboratorio donde trabajaba y se hizo una peregrinación a su tumba. Publicamos en seguida el sentido y elocuente discurso del jefe de la Sección de Estudios Especiales del Ministerio de Higiene, doctor Jonh C. Bugher, la resolución que dispuso el homenaje y los cables recibidos ese día de los directores de la Fundación Roekeffeller. El señor Ministro de Higiene. doctor Arcesio Londoño Palacios, cerró el acto con memorables frases. Al acto concurrieron además de los compañeros de laboratorio y empleados del Ministerio, muchos médicos y hombres de ciencia.
