During two semesters Micorriza (VAM) was evaluated in two systems: pastures and Allium cepa culture, in the same place, which had a high P content. For pastures were taken samples in five lots, identifying present species and their relative abundance. In A. cepa samples were taken in five culture ages, In both systems were evaluated infection percentage (lP) for VAM, number of spores for 50 g of soil (NSS), were identified the VAM species and was obtained their frequency. At the pastures the predominant specie was Paspalum notatum showing the greatest IP and NSS (16.2% and 15.4), respectively; Pennisetum clandestinum, not adapted to the place, showed the lowest IP (0.1 %) and a lower NSS. For the two semesters there was correlation between IP and NSS and for each variable through out the semesters, indicating a similar response between the two epochs. In Allium cepa, for the two semesters there was no VAM in seed bed and the IP was too low (5.3 %), despite that such specie is highly VAM dependent, which can be due to the soil P level (167 ppm) and to the application of the fungicides, In both systems the VAM were the same: Glomus geosporum G. mossae, G. veriforme, Acaulospora longula, G. monosporum and Glomus sp. ; Entrophospora infrequens was absent in A. cepa. The predominant species in the two systems were: Glomus geosporum and Acaulospora longula.
