Garcinia leptophylla Bittrich, una especie solo registrada en Bolivia y Brasil se encontró en Colombia y Perú, por lo que se amplía su distribución geográfica a estos países. Además, se presenta una descripción detallada de las flores pistiladas, un mapa de distribución, comparación con las especies similares y, por primera vez, fotos de la especie in vivo.
Garcinia leptophylla Bittrich, a species known only in Bolivia and Brazil, has an extended geographic distribution to Colombia and Peru. In addition, we present a detailed description of the pistillate flowers, a distribution map, a comparison with similar species, and for the first time, photos of the species in vivo.
