The present study about Cyclestheria hislopi (Baird, 1859) reports this form for Colombia and contributes to the knowledge of its natural history with emphasis in the life cycles. The study deals with the parthenogenetic cycle and presents sexual females characterized by procuticular sclerotisation, the apparition of males and the formation of "primitive ephippium" with winter eggs. Adicionally an incomplete lateral cycle is described with females and males characterized by hypoderrnical sclerotisation. The females of this cycle first may produce parthenogenetic eggs but later will change to form winter eggs.
