Se describe una nueva especie Brunellia pauciflora, diferenciable, por la inflorescencia simplificada en tamaño y estructura y por la margen foliar revoluta. Brunellia zamorensis Steyemark, especie dudosa ya que se describió de material estéril, se redescribe con base en recientes colecciones en fruto, que confirman su pertenencia a Brunellia.
