Estudios en el género Myrsine (Myrsinaceae) de Colombia

Como parte del estudio de la familia Myrsinaceae para la Flora de Colombia, ya iniciado, se describen e ilustran ahora dos nuevas especies del género Myrsine L., M. cupuliformis Pipoly y M. perreticulata Pipoly, procedentes de los departamentos de Chocó y Risaralda, y se comenta sobre su parentesco. Así mismo, se exponen las razones por las que debe considerarse el género Rapanea Aubl. como sinónimo taxonómico del género Myrsine L., proponiéndose además tres nuevas combinaciones: M. andina (Mez) Pipoly, M. paramensis (Cuatrecasas) Pipoly, y M. pearcei (Mez) Pipoly. Por último se incluye la sinonimía actualizada de otras seis especies del género.
