THEMES AND ISSUES IN CONTEMPORARY CARIBBEAN HISTORIOGRAPHY JOURNALS

El presente artículo aborda la importancia que tiene para el pensamiento social caribeño la construcción intelectual de las revistas académicas que, partiendo del instrumental metodológico, formen parte de un proceso que cuestione nuestras certezas para poner la historia a debate, para abrirnos a nuevos tiempos, nuevas reflexiones y nuevos horizontes teóricos y epistemológicos, y para descubrir modos diversos de comprender la historia como un diálogo inacabable con el conocimiento.

This article discusses the importance for Caribbean  social thought of the intellectual construction of academic journals which, on the basis of methodological instruments, make part of a process that challenges our certainties in order to put the story in the debate, to open ourselves to new times, new reflections and new theoretical and epistemological horizons, as well as to discover different ways of understanding history as an unending dialogue with knowledge.
