Motor disabilities in Colombia affect a significant percentage of the population and constitute a major public health issue linked to various factors in the country. This project develops a system for controlling assistive robots using electrooculographic (EOG) signals, thereby enabling people with limited mobility to access this type of technology. For the development, signals were acquired using Bitalino hardware to generate and normalize a dataset, which is then processed with Python and Open Signals to establish reliable commands. The simulation environment was created in CoppeliaSim. During the development process, obstacles such as noise and signal accuracy were encountered. However, the interface and connection between CoppeliaSim, Python, and the EOG signals have been completed, allowing the robot to move in real time. Currently, tests are being conducted to evaluate the robot’s functionality, accuracy, and precision of movement.
