Cluster sampling with multiplicity uses the concept of counting rule of multiplicity in order to include in the survey those individuals not belonging to the sample. Additionally, some results to improve the efficiency and for the variance components from multiplicity estimators of the population total are derived. Finally, a simulation exercise to illustrate the magnitude of the gain in the efficiency with the sampling with multiplicity in function of the sample size and the extent of the counting rule is presented.
