Mediante el presente artículo se pretende informar al lector sobre aspectos concernientes a la Corrección Monetaria, la cual involucra al Sistema de Valor Constante Colombiano y que se conoce en el medio financiero como Sistema UPAC (Unidad de Poder Adquisitivo Costante). Para lograr una visión general del Sistema se tratan temas como: lenguaje, historia, cálculo de la UPAC, tasas combinadas de interés y los instrumentos de captación de ahorro; a la vez se exponen los modelos matemáticos correspondientes que serán explicados mediante ejemplos.
