Se presenta una metodología para el análisis estadístico de sequías, probada en dos estaciones meteorológicas ubicadas en la zona urbana y rural de la Sabana de Bogotá. Una de ellas es e Observatorio Meteorológico Nacional, de donde se utilizaron datos diarios de precipitación desde 1942 hasta 1977; la otra es la Ramada, de la cual se utilizaron datos diarios de precipitación en un periodo comprendido desde 1938 hasta 1977.
