Aspectos cuantitativos del control de epidemias

Se considera la diferencia entre el patrón endémico y epidémico de las enfermedades contagiosas y se determina el porcentaje necesario de individuos que deben ser vacunados para controlar una epidemia, utilizando los resultados de Bailey (1975) y Dietz (1974). El problema análogo para el patrón endémico fue tratado por Anderson y May (1982).
