Este escrito presenta el censo de San Antonio de Padua de la Soledad (en el actual Departamento de Atlántico) efectuado por Juan García Turín en 1777, ordenado por el Virrey Manuel Antonio Flores; con el proposito ulterior de hacer una comparación con otros censos de la misma área geográfica del Atlántico. Se ha intentado un análisis que muestra
las condiciones socio-culturales y económicas de este sitio.
