We report on the work done within the GEM Project, an international collaboration organized to built the most precise maps of diffuse Galactic Radiation at the 408 MHz frequency. We illustrate the process of map generation in the sky band observed by GEM Radiotelescope from Colombia at that frequency. We 8ludy the mechanism of production of that galactic radiation, in terms of what is known as Synchrotron Radiation or Bremsstrahlung. We apply the equations relating the temperature observed in the antenna and the magnetic field of the galaxy to the map produced by the group, with the purpose of finding the dependence of the magnetic field with respect to the coordinates. We construct a map displaying the distribution of magnetic field in the galaxy, in celestial coordinates, and briefiy analize sorne possible applications of these results to the study of Galactic dynamics.
