FORMACIÓN EN HABILIDADES Y COMPETENCIAS CIENTÍFICAS CON BASE EN LA NANOCIENCIA Y LA NANOTECNOLOGÍA EN LA BASICA SECUNDARIA Y MEDIA

FORMATION OF SCINTIFIC ABILITIES AND COMPETENCES BASED ON NANOTECHNOLOGY AND NANO-SCIENCE IN BASIC SECONDARY AND HIGH SCHOOL

Uno de los retos de la sociedad actual y fundamentalmente de la escuela, es cómo lograr que sus jóvenes se inserten prontamente a procesos investigativos desarrollados en la universidad, proceso que finalmente garantiza la producción de conocimiento y el avance de la misma sociedad. En este sentido, la Institución Educativa Rural El Tambo de San Pedro de los Milagros (Antioquia, Colombia) está implementando estrategias de acercamiento de sus estudiantes a procesos investigativos básicos, procurando formar a dichos estudiantes en habilidades y competencias científicas buscando aumentar las posibilidades de ingreso a la educación superior, donde se espera que estos lleven una ventaja competitiva frente a sus pares de otras instituciones gracias a la formación ofrecida por nuestra institución. Para lograr este objetivo, se han fortalecido los procesos de enseñanza desde: las Ciencias Naturales con el abordaje de las contenidos en  Física, Química y Biología donde se motiva el interés de los estudiantes a investigar en electrónica como tema de aplicación de la nanotecnologia, la energía solar, la energía eólica y el cuidado del agua. En las Ciencias Sociales se enfatizan los Derechos Humanos, como herramienta para fortalecer los ambientes de convivencia escolar que favorecen los espacios de enseñanza y aprendizaje; y desde la Matemática con el manejo de información y análisis estadísticos de los datos adquiridos en nuestra estación meteorológica. Estos contenidos  se abordan  desde las diferentes áreas favoreciendo la interrelación de los conocimientos y su aplicación en el entorno cercano.

The Rural Educational Institution El Tambo has developed in a very constant manner the processes of the formation in specific abilities and competences based on science involving students from all grades. This situation requires a detailed approach and a direct relationship between the School and the University, what leads to improve the knowledge acquired and built throughout University through socialization, democratization and communication of the learning.

Educational institutions, in order to approach the optimal goal of building a formation system that works efficiently focused on abilities and scientific competences, has implemented a series of school events that allows to acclimate the spaces with esteem, healthy coexistence and collaborative environments for the abilities and its respective constructions. These formulations are framed not only in politics of improvement in the social environment but also in the restructuration of the three basic areas: science (biology, chemistry, physics), mathematics (arithmetic, statistics, geometry) and social studies (making an emphasis in the formation of Human and Social Rights).

The school, as its duty is to create in students a scientific mindset, developing and reinforcing their abilities, has seen itself immersed in process of different forms of discipline as well as the visualization of ethnical and environmental issues that emerge in the methods of research, like the projects of Nano-science and nanotechnology that appeals for both its little awareness and the little implementation it has in the scopes of the NANO area.

From the above, the institution implements approaching processes with University of Antioquia in the Physics Faculty and directly aid from Dr. Carlos Duque like a way of closeness and educational brotherhood.
