Partial molar volumes of transfer at infinite dilution of local anesthetic benzocaine (BZC), between some ethanol-water mixtures (0.2 and 0.5 in mole fraction of ethanol) and ethanol were calculated from apparent molar volumes determined at 25.0 °C at several concentrations of BZC (0.010 to 0.100 mole-L-1). The solvation of BZC was highest in the 0.5 XEtOH mixture, indicating the semipolar nature of this compound.
