The study descriptive, design with before and after observations. It was conducted at the CAMI of Suba between 15 february- 5 august 2000. It consisted in a diagnostic baseline survey of 25 hypertensive outpatients to determine their educational needs. Five indirect methods were used to evaluate therapeutic compliance.
