Del extracto en éter de petróleo de la corteza de Bowdichia virgiloides H.B. K. se aisló 1.3% de un compuesto identificado como lupeol por su p.f., rotación específica y la interpretación de sus espectros U.V., I.R., R.M.N. 1 H y de masas.
