Analgesic and antiinflammatory effects of Cucumis dipsaceus

El análisis farmacológico del extracto etanólico y las fracciones en éter de petróleo, diclorometano y metanol de los frutos maduros de Cucumis dipsaceus, reveló una alta actividad analgésica y antiinflamatoria. La mayor actividad analgésica la mostraron las fracciones metanólica y de diclorometano y fueron superiores a las presentadas por el extracto etanólico y el patrón de ácido acetil salicílico. La mayor actividad antiinflamatoria la presentaron el extracto etanólico y la fracción de diclorometano en las dosis ensayadas.
The pharmacological study showed high analgesic and antiinflammatory activities of the crude ethanolic extract and its petroleum eether, dichloromethane and methanolic fractions of the mature fruits of Cucumis dipsaceus. The highest analgesic effect was shown in the methanolic and dichloromethane fractions. While the highest antiinflammatory effect was shown in the dichloromethane fractions.
