Mycobacteriosis en peces ornamentales

Se reporta mortalidad en peces ornamentales como el escalar (Ptemphylluin altuni), cardenal (Paracheirodon axelrodi), disco (Symphysodon aequifasciata), betta (Betta splendens), goldfish (Carassius auratus) y gourami (Tríchogaster trichopterus). Los principales signos clínicos fueron depresión, anorexia, distensión abdominal, erosiones y úlceras con bordes hcmorrágicos. La histopalología reveló una infección granulomalosa sistémica con abundantes microorganismos positivos a la coloración de Ziehl Neelsen, compatibles con Mycobacterium sp.
