Editorial Process

Editorial Workflow: From Submission to Publication
This flowchart illustrates the comprehensive editorial process for manuscripts submitted to our journal, from initial receipt through peer review to final publication. The process is managed through our Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform to ensure efficiency, transparency, and a rigorous evaluation of all research.
-
Manuscript Submission: The process begins when the corresponding author submits their manuscript and all required supplementary documents via the online platform of the journal. Authors must ensure their submission adheres strictly to the Author Guidelines.
-
Initial Editorial Screening: Upon receipt, the editorial team performs a preliminary check. This screening evaluates the scope of the manuscript, relevance, quality, and compliance with all submission requirements.
-
If requirements are NOT met, the manuscript may be immediately Rejected, or it may be Returned to Authors for Technical Corrections. Authors must then resubmit the corrected manuscript to restart the screening process.
-
If requirements ARE met, the manuscript moves forward to the peer review stage.
-
-
Peer Review Process: The manuscript is assigned to independent external experts in the relevant field for evaluation. This is a double blind review process in which the identities of authors and reviewers are kept confidential in order to ensure an unbiased assessment of the scientific merit, validity, and significance of the work.
-
Editorial Decision: Based on the reports and recommendations of the reviewers, the Editor makes the final decision.
-
Reject: The manuscript is declined, and authors are notified of the decision.
-
Minor or Major Revisions: The manuscript is returned to the authors with specific instructions for revision based on reviewer feedback.
-
Accept without Revisions: The manuscript is accepted for publication in its current form.
-
-
Revision Cycle: If revisions are requested, authors must submit a revised manuscript together with a detailed response to the comments of the reviewers. The editorial team then verifies that all points have been adequately addressed. This cycle may repeat until the manuscript is deemed acceptable.
-
Post-acceptance Production: Once a manuscript is accepted, it enters the production phase.
-
Translation & Editing: The text undergoes translation into English (if necessary) and professional style and language editing to ensure clarity, consistency, and adherence to journal standards.
-
Author Approval of Edited Version: Authors receive the edited manuscript for review and must approve the changes before it proceeds.
-
Layout & Typesetting: The approved text is formatted according to the final article layout of the journal.
-
Final Author Approval: Authors are sent the final page proofs for a last check to correct any remaining typographical or formatting errors.
-
-
Publication: Upon receiving final approval from the authors, the article is officially published and made available online.
Manuscripts may be withdrawn from the editorial process at any stage if authors fail to respond to revision requests within the stipulated deadlines. This action is taken after two follow-up reminders. In the final production stages, the decision to withdraw or proceed will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis, depending on the nature and necessity of the requested corrections.
