LIGHTNING INDUCED VOLTAGE: INFLUENCE ON THE POWER QUALITY DELIVERED AT CONSUMER SERVICE ENTRANCE.

This work aims to analyze the influence of lightning induced voltages on the power quality delivered to low voltage networks (LV). Systematic simulations were developed using an electromagnetic model in order to evaluate levels at the consumer service entrance. Some contents about the effect of line parameters on induced voltage profile, along the LV network are presented. Furthermore, evaluations regarding the influence of the consumer load and type of line configuration on induced voltage at consumer service entrance are remarked. It is pointed out the better performance of multiplexed configuration in face of lightning induced voltages
