In this paper is study the performance of the Norton equivalent model of a Compact Fluorescent Lamp (CFL), the model is obtained from 1200 laboratory measurements, distributed in two study cases. In the first case, the model is generated with voltage and current measurements when is controlled the harmonic content in the power supply. In the second case, the model is obtained with voltage and current measurements with a random spectrum. Finally, the harmonic content in the measurements and simulations, obtained with Norton equivalent model, is assessed and an error is computed, likewise, the correlation coefficient between these signals is estimated.
