Long-Term Electrical Planning Methodology

This paper establishes a long-term methodology for the identification of expansion needs of a power system, considering uncertainties related to demand and generation. In addition, It considers social and environmental aspects in the identification process. A linear optimization model is proposed that seeks to minimize the investment which cover the expansion needs in the national interconnected system.
