Este artículo narra la vivencia de una enfermera desde el momento en que reconoce los primeros síntomas de enfermedad, durante el proceso de diagnóstico, en la fase de tratamiento a base de quimioterapia y las acciones de autocuidado desarrollados en búsqueda de una mejor calidad de vida.

This article narrates a nurse's experience from the time she recognizes the first symptoms of disease, throughout the process of diagnose, treatment with chemotherapy and the exercise of self-care, developed In quest of a better quality of life.
