In this article the justice palaces of Bogotá are analized
from their perspective of public buildings. The representative
duties are observed from the relation between
architecture and institutions and the significance that
society has constructed around them. In accordance to
the symbolic meaning that these buildings acquire, as
state symbols of power, this study takes into account the
search for an ideal representation and the performance
that is carried out in a specific context.
