The simulation created by Julio Galán in his plastic work
represents a mimesis of his life; he recreates with irony
icons of popular culture, in a playful manner. His plastic
solutions are related to the pictorial styles in México
of some painters in the 1980’s; he includes symbols of
neomexicanism and the fragmentation of forms with
original chromatic saturation. Art critics recognize different
meanings in his paintings, in its creation and in
the final reception of the art-enjoyer. The exhibition of
his plastic art in museums and galleries has permitted his
works to be highly accepted and his plastic proposal be
considered exceptional.
