The objective is to describe the feminine meanings of the gold ritual practiced by small-scale miners and barequeros, Brazilians and Colombians, that move in the paths of Caño Negro and Guacamayo, located in the municipality of Solano (Caquetá, Colombia). I describe a gift given to miners through a woman’s dream, the gift symbolizing the location of a very rich gold deposit. The miners acknowledge the verbal agreement through ritual “payments” that symbolize that the woman is a sort of pivot to preserve the kinship system, for this reason they ritualize the main spirit of the mine as a woman; In a context where mining has high levels of conflict, this practice is symbolized as the constant search for verbal agreements and the miner acquisition a social status to establish verbal agreements with his peers.
