El siguiente texto aborda la discusión sostenida arededor del tema de la órbita geoestacionaria (órbita sincrónica geoestacionaria) a partir de su incorporación en la Constitución Política de 1991, y la pretensión en torno a su soberanía, afincada en la misma promulgación. El escrito avanza en los diferentes planos reivindicatorios de la figura jurídica, precedido por un acápite explicativo en relación con los conceptos técnicos.
