Con el objeto de probar la hipótesis de que existe hiporreactividad a la hipoxia crónica en pollos criollos frente a pollos comerciales, se hicieron estudios morfométricos y hematimétricos, Se observó un síndrome de pobre adaptación a la hipoxia y a otras condiciones medioambientales de Bogotá (2.638 metros sobre el nivel del mar), en pollos de engorde Arbor Acres (pobremente adaptados), por la hipertrofia de la capa media muscular de arteriolas
pulmonares (% T = 6.62 ± 0.35)[...]
