Método de biopsia medular vertebral

INTRODUCCIÓN

Los sitios clásicos en medicina humana y veterinaria para la obtención del material medular son: en el hombre principalmente en el esternón, la tuberosidad coxal y la apófisis espinosa de las vértebras lumbares; en los animales se emplea el esternón, la tuberosidad coxal del ilion, prefiriéndose esta última más comúnmente; por estas vías es en muchas ocasiones difícil el hacer una biopsia, teniendo que recurrir en estos casos a aparatos especiales como los trocares y bisturís con el objeto de hacer incisiones en la piel y luego, taladrando el hueso, llegar a la medula ósea que sería aspirada por medio de una aguja.
